What To Expect

What To Expect 2017-02-04T22:24:23+00:00

Upon arrival, you will be warmly greeted with a big smile and welcomed to the office.  If you haven’t already filled out our new patient intake form, prior to your visit, you will be asked to complete it in the office.

Once completed, you will be given a short tour of our beautiful practice to ensure you are comfortable and relaxed and know just what to expect. We are proud to offer excellent chiropractic care in a relaxing, family-friendly surrounding.

Consultation

Next, you will have a one-on-one consultation with Dr. Peter to discuss your current and past health history, any questions you may have, the reason you are seeking chiropractic care, and your wellness goals. This initial visit is designed for Dr. Peter to learn more about you, your condition, and your expectations to determine how chiropractic care can meet your goals.  At this time, Dr. Peter will also explain how chiropractic wellness care works, and specifically how things are done in our practice. We strongly feel that the more we know about you, and the more you know about us, the more we can tailor your treatment plan to your health goals and optimize your health.

Examination

After your consultation, a comprehensive chiropractic examination and neurological testing will be performed to assess how well your nervous system is functioning.  The examination will consist of a thorough spinal and nervous system review that will include the following:

  • Orthopedic evaluation
  • Neurological evaluation
  • Range of Motion
  • Postural Analysis
  • Palpation of the spine

Once your comprehensive evaluation is complete, we are able to make a more accurate determination of the type of adjustments your spine needs as well as the initial frequency of your care. Most often we are able to perform the first adjustment on your initial visit, however occasionally further testing and imaging are required.

At the end of your first visit we will schedule you for a follow up appointment where Dr. Peter will give you the results of your examination during the report of findings. We highly encourage you to bring your partner along to this second visit so that they can ask any questions they may have and find out how they can be your greatest support on your health journey. It is at this time that we will discuss the details of your treatment plan and answer any and all questions you may have.
